By a joint decision of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP), Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, the China-Indonesia Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program was officially launched on August 1, 2026, with a duration of five years.

Since the launch of the pilot program, applicants from both sides may file PPH requests with either CNIPA or the DGIP of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, in accordance with the procedures for requesting PPH under the China-Indonesia PPH pilot program.
