On June 26, the 23rd Session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress voted to adopt the newly revised Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China, which will come into effect on January 1, 2027.

Consisting of 9 chapters and 87 articles, the newly revised Trademark Law focuses on prominent issues in the trademark field, clarifies the general requirements for trademark work, regulates trademark registration, optimizes the procedures for trademark authorization and confirmation, reinforces trademark administration, and strengthens the protection of exclusive rights for trademarks.
