Mr. Tian worked as a patent examiner at the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) for more than 7 years since 1996. During this period, he handled a large number of patent applications in the field of mechanics, and he was sent to European Patent Office to receive professional training in patent search and patent examination. Before entering SIPO, he spent worked several years as an engineer in manufacturing and project engineering position at Capital Steel Corporation.

Mr. Tian joined a famous IP firm in 2004. As a patent attorney, Mr. Tian actively joined the work of patent prosecution, reexamination, invalidation and patent litigation, and accumulated extensive practical experience. He has drafted and handled a great amount of patent applications, and has successfully dealt with some cases of patent applications and litigations which are rather sophisticated both in the field of technology and law. He also provided IP legal advices for domestic and foreign clients. Mr. Tian joined Unitalen in 2008.
